Einer, der daran etwas ändern könnte, ist der frühere Söldner und Ausnahmekämpfer Solomon Kane. Barely escaping, he soon renounced violence to atone for his past sins, seeking out redemption in a life of peace. Doch Kane hat der Gewalt abgeschworen nach einer Auseinandersetzung zuviel mit dem leibhaftigen Bösen, und ist auch durch Drohen oder gutes Zureden nicht zum Kampf zu bewegen. I'm pretty impressed with the film's production, but in the end it was an average film for me. Kane is our anti-hero, a real hard dude who ends up living by the fight evil with evil mantra.
Solomon Kane James Purefoy leads a British privateer ship into battle in North Africa. After giving away his wealth to an abbey, the monks send him away to his ultimate destiny. I'm a fan of Howard and Conan and have read a few of his Kane stories, but I'm not familiar enough with the character to know how far Bassett deviates from the source material, although Howard purists say it's too far yeah, like Stone's version of Conan didn't deviate. Solomon Kane was created by pulp writer Robert E. That is until the followers of sorcerer Malachi kidnap a Puritan girl, Meredith Crowthorn, and brutally slaughter her family before his very eyes, forcing Solomon to take up arms and return to his violent ways once more to rescue her.
